A highly experienced organisational leader and diplomat who is highly regarded for his organisational change management work, Ian has led organisations as diverse as the GCSB, the UK Patent Office, the Queensland Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (like MBIE), the UN Customs Service in Kosovo, and chaired a G8 committee on innovation and intellectual property.
With over two decades in the military and GCSB security sector leadership, Jonathon has led major system security audits and developed remediation programs that have helped organisations measurably improve their security position. Jonathon's specialties are Governance, Risk and Compliance with an emphasis on audit (for Certification and Accreditation) to recognised standards such as the PSR, NZISM and ISO27001.
Marc has over 20 years experience in forensic investigation, incident response, policy development and risk management. Prior to joining InPhySec, Marc spent 13 years with the New Zealand Police forensic service and 10 years within the GCSB establishing and managing the cyber forensic investigation and incident response capability.
Mike is a seasoned veteran with both significant government and commercial sector information security/assurance experience.
With a beginning in the RAF he then moved to GCHQ, which is where he cut his infosec teeth. At the turn of the century Mike moved to CESG and became a Common Criteria and ITSEC certifier, before migrating to NZ and joining the GCSB where he held several roles in technology, policy and information assurance. This was then followed by 3 years at NZ Police and 5 years at Revera as ITSM before joining InPhySec.
Oliver has over 18 years experience in I.T infrastructure administration and incident response. Before joining InPhySec Oliver spent 10 years at GCSB in various roles, including a position at the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). Oliver's interests lie in network intrusion investigations and threat hunting.
Ian has over 10 years digital forensic experience and is a certified digital forensic examiner with a BSc in Forensic Computing, EnCE, CFCE, CMDE and CAWFE. He worked at New Zealand Police and extensively analysed digital devices. Prior to this, he worked at PwC and undertook eDiscovery cases for his clients. Ian provides training to students attending the Advanced Windows Forensic Examiner class for IACIS and is the chairman for this class.
Angela has over 20 years’ experience in the ICT sector working with clients both in New Zealand and across North America, EMEA and APAC. Prior to joining InPhySec, Angela spent 18 years at Wynyard Group & Methodware Ltd working with government agencies and commercial entities to implement investigations, risk management and big data analytics technology.
Nicki holds the position of part-time Finance Administrator. She has many years of experience in accounting functions, payroll, and office administration. Her most outstanding qualities are a bubbly personality, can do attitude, communication and efficiency at getting the job done.
It is no secret that she is excellent at office organisation and in assisting people in a compassionate yet professional way.
